Situation
A family moving into a resale condominium wanted both bathrooms updated before occupying the unit. The existing fixtures were original to the building, approximately 15 years old, with worn mixers and stained toilet pans.
What We Did
Fixture choices were agreed a week before the visit. On the day, both bathrooms were done sequentially — new basins, mixers, toilets, and shower sets installed, sealed, and tested before moving to the second room.
Result
Both bathrooms completed and handed over the same day. Total cost was RM 1,500 as quoted. Client confirmed both rooms were in daily use without issue within a week of moving in.
Situation
A terrace house owner reported a toilet that had been running continuously for three weeks, audible from the adjoining room. The bidet connection was also leaking slowly at the base of the angle valve.
What We Did
Cistern fill valve and flush valve were replaced. The float was adjusted to the correct water level. The angle valve at the bidet connection was found to be corroded at the stem and was replaced. Bidet hose was inspected and reseated.
Result
Cistern stopped running. Bidet connection dry and secure. Total visit: 2 hours 20 minutes. Cost: RM 290 as quoted, inclusive of all parts replaced.
Situation
Condominium unit with a kitchen mixer that had erratic hot water temperature — running hot even on the cold setting — and a bathroom tap with reduced flow on the cold side only.
What We Did
Kitchen mixer cartridge replaced — the thermostatic element inside the original cartridge had failed. Bathroom tap disassembled; cold-side restrictor was partially blocked with calcium scale and was cleared. Washer was replaced as routine.
Result
Mixer running correctly across full temperature range. Bathroom tap at normal flow on both sides. Visit completed in 1 hour 50 minutes. Total cost: RM 260.
