Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the basis on which Mentari Salur provides residential plumbing services. By contacting us, submitting an enquiry, or engaging our services, you agree to the terms described below. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If you have any questions before engaging our services, we are happy to clarify.

1. Definitions

Throughout these Terms and Conditions, the following terms carry the meanings defined below:

  • "We", "Us", "Our" — Mentari Salur, a home plumbing service provider operating in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • "You", "User", "Customer" — any individual who contacts us, submits an enquiry, or engages our services through this website or by phone.
  • "Service" — any plumbing service offered by Mentari Salur, including tap and mixer servicing, toilet and bidet repair, and bathroom refits.
  • "Website" — the website accessible at mentaris.info and all its pages.
  • "Agreement" — the understanding formed when you engage our services, governed by these terms.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry through this website or making contact with us to arrange a service visit, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • You have the authority to authorise work at the premises in question.
  • You have read and understood these terms, and agree to be bound by them.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with an enquiry or service booking.

3. Service Description

Mentari Salur provides residential plumbing services in Kuala Lumpur. Our current service offerings are:

  • Tap and Mixer Service (RM 260) — covers one kitchen mixer and one bathroom tap. Includes cartridge or washer replacement as needed, and testing of hot and cold flow.
  • Toilet and Bidet Repair (RM 290) — covers one toilet and connected bidet. Includes cistern part renewal and inspection or replacement of bidet hose, sprayer, and angle valve where required.
  • Coordinated Two-Bathroom Refit (RM 1,500) — covers fixture replacement across two bathrooms in a single planned visit, including basins, mixers, toilets, and shower sets. Includes preparation, sealing, and end-to-end testing.

Services are available to residential properties within our operating area. We reserve the right to decline a service engagement if the scope of work falls outside our offering or if site conditions make it impractical to proceed safely.

Service availability is subject to technician scheduling. We will confirm your appointment date and time separately.

4. Your Responsibilities

To allow us to carry out the service properly, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and the plumbing issue when making an enquiry.
  • Ensure that safe and unobstructed access is available to the areas where work is to be carried out.
  • Inform us of any known conditions at the property that may affect our work, such as existing damage, recent repairs, or access restrictions.
  • Ensure that an adult (18 or over) is present at the property during the service visit.
  • Make payment in accordance with Section 5.

You must not provide false or misleading information. If we arrive and find that conditions differ materially from what was described, we may need to reassess the scope and pricing before proceeding.

5. Payment Terms

Pricing is as listed on our website at the time of booking. Prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of standard labour and materials described in each service.

  • Payment is due upon completion of the service visit unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking.
  • If additional work is identified during a visit that falls outside the agreed scope, we will discuss this with you before proceeding. You are not obliged to accept additional work, and there is no charge for work that was not carried out.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a reasonable call-out fee to cover technician scheduling costs.

We do not hold card details or process online payments through this website.

6. Service-Specific Terms

Each service is carried out according to a defined scope. Parts used are sourced for quality and suitability. Where a part identified during the visit cannot be sourced on the same day, we will advise you before proceeding and arrange a follow-up where needed.

The service scope covers the items listed in each service description. Adjacent plumbing issues outside the defined scope are not included in the fixed-price service. These can be discussed separately at the time of the visit.

For the Two-Bathroom Refit, fixtures must be agreed and confirmed prior to the visit date to allow preparation. Delays caused by fixture sourcing or access restrictions that are outside our control may affect the planned timeline.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, layout, graphics, and design — is the property of Mentari Salur or its content suppliers. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any part of this website without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers

We take care to carry out each service to a reasonable professional standard. However:

  • We cannot foresee every condition that may be encountered at a property, and outcomes may vary based on factors outside our control, such as the age and condition of existing plumbing infrastructure.
  • Information on this website is provided for general guidance. It does not constitute professional advice for your specific circumstances.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing defects, latent faults, or issues with plumbing not within the agreed service scope.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability to you in connection with any service visit shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that service.

We shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from a service visit.
  • Loss or damage caused by conditions at the property that were not disclosed to us in advance.
  • Delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including access restrictions, parts availability, or adverse site conditions.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian consumer protection law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Mentari Salur, its technicians, and representatives harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your failure to provide accurate information, your failure to provide safe access, or your breach of these terms.

11. Termination

Either party may cancel a booked service visit with reasonable notice. If we cancel due to reasons within our control, no cancellation fee will be charged. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, a call-out fee may apply as described in Section 5.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to any customer who provides misleading information or whose conduct creates a safety concern for our technicians.

12. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Malaysia shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with these terms or any service provided by us.

If you have a concern about a service, we encourage you to raise it with us directly first. We aim to address all genuine concerns promptly and in good faith. Most issues can be resolved without formal proceedings.

If informal resolution is not possible, disputes may be referred to mediation before any formal legal action is commenced.

13. General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: These terms, together with any written confirmation of your booking, constitute the entire agreement between us for the services described.
  • Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent.
  • Notices: Formal notices may be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to our registered address.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. When we do so, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If you have an active service booking at the time of any material change, the terms in place at the time of your booking will continue to apply for that engagement.

Continued use of this website or engagement of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
